Individual Therapy:

I provide 60-minute individual counselling sessions for children, teenagers, and adults. As both a Mental Health Social Worker and a Family Therapist, I am able to support personal wellbeing while also understanding how relationships, family history, and everyday stressors shape what you’re going through. My approach is practical, grounded, and centred on strengthening connection — both to yourself and to the people who matter to you.

My work is informed by attachment-based theory, polyvagal theory, internal family systems (parts), and narrative therapy, along with other integrative approaches. Sessions are tailored to age, developmental stage, and individual goals.

I support people who are navigating:

  • anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, or low confidence

  • grief and loss, life changes, or feeling overwhelmed

  • trauma (including childhood trauma) and the ongoing effects of difficult experiences

  •  identity-related challenges, stigma, and discrimination

  • patterns of behaviour (eg substance use, gambling harms) they want to understand or change

  • life as a neurodivergent person (ASD & ADHD)

  • coming out and/or accessing gender affirming care

    • Get in touch for a free 15 minute phone consult by booking online or via the contact page.

    • After booking, I will email an intake form to the parent or caregiver.

    • Consent forms need to be completed by all parents or guardians unless there are safety or legal considerations (e.g. intervention orders).

    • The first appointment will usually involve a parent or caregiver for the first portion to gather context and clarify goals. In some cases, it may be appropriate to meet with caregivers alone first.

  • Older Teens (16-18):

    • Get in touch for a free 15 minute phone consult by booking online or via the contact page.

    • After booking, a brief intake form is emailed directly to the person attending.

    • The first session focuses on understanding what’s happening, what you’re hoping for, and what support looks like moving forward.

    • Depending on the person’s age and situation, sessions may be solely individual or may occasionally include caregivers where clinically helpful and agreed upon.

  • Adults:

    • Get in touch for a free 15 minute phone consult by booking online or via the contact page.

    • After booking, a brief intake form is emailed directly to you to complete before the first appointment/

    • The first session focuses on what’s happening now, what you’re hoping for, and what support looks like. Individual work with adults often involves understanding why certain patterns or reactions keep showing up, strengthening emotional regulation, and improving communication, boundaries, or connection in daily life.

    • Adults generally attend individually, though with your consent and where useful, we can involve partners or family members to support your goals.

  • Sessions take place either in person or online. The office is in Northcote, close to Northcote train station. You can book online or contact me via email.

  • If you would like to access Medicare rebates, it may be useful to speak with your GP about a Mental Health Treatment Plan. More information is available on the Appointments, Fees & Funding page.
